Full Spectrum CBD
Definition
Full spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids and terpenes naturally present in the hemp plant, including up to 0.3% THC.
A full-spectrum extract preserves the complete cannabinoid and terpene profile of the source hemp plant. Proponents argue this produces the entourage effect — the theory that cannabinoids work synergistically and produce different effects together than in isolation.
Full-spectrum products are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill (less than 0.3% delta-9 THC), but the trace THC means they are NOT recommended for drug-tested professionals. Over weeks of consistent use, trace THC can accumulate enough to potentially trigger a positive workplace screen.
