Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to botancbd.com and botanCBD, LLC and governs data collection and usage. By using the botanCBD website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Collection of your personal information
We do not collect personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it. You may be asked to provide personal information when you register, enter a contest, sign up for offers, email us, or submit payment information to purchase.
Sharing information with third parties
botanCBD does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties. We may share data with trusted partners to help with statistical analysis, email or postal mail, customer support, or deliveries. These parties are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose. We may disclose personal information, without notice, if required by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights or property, or protect user safety.
Site analytics, cookies and what we measure
We measure how the site is used so we can make it clearer and faster. Most of that measurement is our own, first-party, and stays on our systems:
- Pages and events. Which pages are viewed, how far down a page is read, which links are clicked (the destination and the link text, never what you typed), when something is added to the cart, and which checkout fields were used. We record the country your connection came from, your browser type, and the page that referred you. We do not store your IP address and we do not fingerprint your device.
- A session id kept in your browser’s local storage for 30 minutes of inactivity, so the pages of one visit can be read together.
- A visitor cookie named
botan_vid, a random id with no personal information in it, kept for up to 400 days so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one and see which page first brought a customer to us. It is a first-party cookie: only botancbd.com can read it. - Page speed. Your browser’s own performance timings for the pages you load (how long the main content took to appear, how stable the layout was), so slow pages get fixed.
- Orders. When you order, the order is linked to the session and visitor ids above so we can see which pages lead to purchases. That link is used for aggregate reporting only.
Two third-party services also see traffic: Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies (for example _ga) and receives page views and shopping events with advertising personalization turned off, and Vercel Analytics, a cookie-less page-view count. Neither receives your name, email, address, or order-status links; we strip those before anything is sent.
Your choices
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it: no visitor cookie is set, and Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
- Cookies. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser at any time. The store, cart and checkout keep working without them.
- Google Analytics. Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout stops it everywhere.

Security
We secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Payment info is transmitted over SSL. No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Children under 13
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Email communications
We may contact you via email for announcements, offers, alerts, confirmations, or general communication. You can opt out any time by clicking unsubscribe.
Changes to this statement
We reserve the right to update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email, a prominent site notice, or by updating this page.
