Products, collections and the cart are public pages with no CAPTCHA or card field on them — the same pages a person's browser loads. Every product and variant is also published at /products.json, with strength, flavor and price generated from the same file the storefront renders and refreshed on each deploy.
- Check out with an email and a shipping address
Checkout asks for contact details and a shipping address. There is no card field on botancbd.com, no CAPTCHA, and no puzzle to solve.
- Pay on Square's hosted invoice page
We create a Square invoice for the order and forward you straight to its hosted payment page about a second and a half later; the confirmation page also shows the link as "Pay now on Square", and adding ?stay=1 to its URL keeps you on the order summary instead. Card details are entered there, on Square, never on our site — which is why a single-use virtual card works here the same way a person's card does.

The invoice itself carries the way back: its description reads "After paying, return to your order" with your order's own status-page link. The same link is in the confirmation email.

Once Square reports the payment, the order page shows "Paid — we're packing it" and links to the account, where the same order is listed.

Why most CBD stores don't work with agents
This isn't a knock on any particular store. The checkout rails several shopping agents pay through — Stripe, PayPal, Google Wallet among them — restrict or prohibit CBD in their own acceptable-use policies, so a native in-chat checkout for this category is closed upstream of anything an individual store builds. Separately, Amazon blocked Meta Muse from acting on its site on September 21, 2026 for unauthorized agent access. The door that stays open is the one this page describes: a browser-driving agent using its own virtual card at a store's own checkout, the same way a person would use theirs.

Where we are honest about the limits
Two things we will not promise. A virtual card is still a card, and a card issuer can decline a hemp merchant for its own reasons — if that happens the invoice stays open and nothing is charged. And Square's payment page is Square's; we do not control what it asks for on a given day.
We ship every product to all 50 states, and the rules that decide that live on the server, so an agent gets the same answer a person gets. botanCBD does not collect a date of birth, scan an ID, or upload a document at checkout — each state has its own minimum purchase age, and CBD laws by state publishes it.
FAQ
Can an AI shopping agent actually buy from botanCBD?
Yes, in the sense that the checkout itself has no CAPTCHA, no account requirement, and no card field on our site. Whether a given agent's own payment method clears on our checkout is a separate question we can't answer for every agent — see the limits section above.
Does checkout work any differently for an agent than for a person?
No. There's no separate agent mode. The same public pages, the same email-and-shipping-address form, and the same Square-hosted invoice a person would use are what an agent's browser reads and fills in.
How does a virtual card work at a store that doesn't take cards directly?
Payment never happens on botancbd.com. We hand the customer — human or agent — a Square-hosted invoice page, and card details are entered there, on Square's own infrastructure. A single-use virtual card fills that form the same way a person's card would.
What if the agent's payment gets declined?
Nothing is charged until an invoice is paid, so a decline just leaves the invoice open. Reply to the invoice email or use its link again once the payment method is sorted out.
Do I need to tell botanCBD I'm using an agent?
No. There's no field for it and no reason to disclose it — an agent checking out uses the same order form a person fills in by hand.
