Titration (Start Low, Go Slow)
Also known as: Start low, go slow, CBD titration
Titration is the practice of starting with a small CBD serving, holding it for several days, and raising it in small steps until you find the smallest serving that suits you.
The usual pattern is simple. Most adults start at 10 to 25 mg per serving, hold that same amount for 3 to 5 days, and only then move up by 5 to 10 mg. Change one thing at a time: one product, one time of day, one serving size. Keep a short note each day with the amount, the time, and how you felt. After a week or two the note, not a guess, tells you where to stay.
Patience beats a big first serving because you cannot judge a serving you changed yesterday. A large first dose also hides what the smaller one would have done, and it costs more per bottle. There is no official recommended serving size for CBD, and published advice varies. Healthline's dosage guide (checked October 2026) suggests starting at 20 to 40 mg and adding 5 mg per week, which is slower and a bit higher than the range above. Body weight, the product, and individual chemistry all matter, so read any starting number as a starting point only.
Check the label math before you pour. On our 30 mL oils, a full dropper is about 17 mg on the 500mg bottle and about 50 mg on the 1,500mg bottle, so a 10 to 25 mg serving is a partial dropper. Our drops are hemp extract in organic coconut-derived MCT oil, taken under the tongue. Talk to your doctor before you start, especially if you take medication, and ask your veterinarian before giving CBD to a pet.
