5 CBD Oils for Shift-Work Routines

Updated How we edit these guides

How we ranked these

Ranked for rotating and night-shift routines, not for 9-to-5 desk focus (that is the focus-and-work list). Weighting: THC-free with a per-batch COA (30%), 15–25mg precision in dim light (20%), flavor you will take at odd hours (20%), 30-shift bottle math (15%), travel / crash-pad practicality (15%).

Full-spectrum-only brands could not take the top three. Tested healthcare, transit, and warehouse jobs are the constraint.

Prices are August 2026 figures already verified on the focus, THC-free-jobs, and sleep lists. We did not re-scrape.

Scores on this page are our own editorial ratings of other brands, judged on the criteria below. We don't rate our own products — where botanCBD appears you'll see its verified-buyer rating if it has one, and no editorial score in the ranking either way. Early customer reviews shown elsewhere on this page are labeled as such.

Criteria
  • THC-free oil with a current batch COA
  • A serving you can measure at 15–25mg when you are tired
  • A flavor you will take at 8 a.m. or 11 p.m.
  • A bottle that lasts a month of shifts at that serving
  • No 'non-drowsy miracle' marketing as the pitch

Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil 1,500mg (Lime or Mint)

Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil 1,500mg (Lime or Mint) — ranked #1 by botanCBD
The crash-pad bottle: THC-free, 15–25mg, flavor you'll finish

Shift CBD fails when the bottle is full-spectrum or when you cannot find 20mg at the end of a night run. botanCBD 1,500mg broad-spectrum is 50mg/mL — 20mg is well under a dropper. Lime if you take it before a day-sleep; mint if it is a night wind-down. $70, THC-free, same-day batch PDF. The 500mg is the trial for a new rotation; stay at 1,500mg once the window is a habit. We cannot guarantee your employer's test. We can send the ND-THC report for the lot in your bag.

Orange Bliss or Tranquil Mint Broad-Spectrum — Joy Organics product photo

Orange Bliss or Tranquil Mint Broad-Spectrum

★★★★½4.5 / 5our editorial score
USDA Organic THC-free — orange for day-sleep, mint for nights

Joy is the other tested-job bottle: USDA Organic, verified THC-free, citrus or mint depending on which end of the clock you are on. Premium per-mg. They stop at 2,250mg, so the monthly math is tighter than our 1,500mg or 6,000mg. Buy Joy if the organic badge is the thing you want in a locker.

U.S. Hemp Authority — isolate if occupational health asked for CBD only

Medterra is the isolate-friendly tested-job pick. U.S. Hemp Authority. If occupational health asked for CBD only, isolate is the conservative chemistry. If you wanted the rest of the plant without THC, broad-spectrum (ours or Joy) is the better match. Competent, not exciting.

Daily Care 60MG CBD Oil — Charlotte's Web product photo

Daily Care 60MG CBD Oil

★★★★4.4 / 5our editorial score
Named for daily use — full-spectrum, so not the screened-shift bottle

Charlotte's Web Daily Care is what a lot of shift households already own. It is full-spectrum. That is a career constraint on a screened floor. If you are not tested and you want the complete plant, it stays in a shift ranking for the habit, not for workplace safety. $0.036/mg at 6,000mg (August 2026).

Organic CBD Tincture — isolate if you are tested

★★★★4.2 / 5our editorial score
Cheapest credible refill — full-spectrum default, isolate for screens

Lazarus is the budget shift refill if you are not tested, or if you specifically buy their isolate. $40 / 1,500mg, $120 / 6,000mg (August 2026), assistance program. Classic unflavored is a lot of hemp at 6 a.m. Their THC-free path is isolate, not broad-spectrum. Do not take the full-spectrum Classic to a job that tests.

The bottom line

Shift work needs a THC-free oil you can dose when bedtime moves. botanCBD 1,500mg lime or mint is the workhorse. Joy is the organic locker bottle. Medterra isolate if someone asked for CBD only. Full-spectrum is the wrong screened-shift purchase. CBD does not reset a circadian clock.

FAQ

Will this keep me awake on shift or put me to sleep after?

Neither is a promise we will make. At 15–25mg most people describe an evening serving as uneventful, which is what you want. Higher servings can feel heavier. Test a new serving on a stretch of days off, not on a live rotation.

Will broad-spectrum pass my hospital or DOT screen?

A current ND-THC COA is the document you want. It is not a guarantee of someone else's cutoff. We cannot promise your test. See our drug-test guide and the THC-free jobs list.

Day-sleep or night-sleep — different bottle?

Same oil, different flavor preference. Lime or citrus is what a lot of people take before a day-sleep. Mint is the night wind-down. The milligrams and the spectrum stay the same.

Does CBD fix shift-work sleep?

No. Light, noise, and a mismatched clock are structural. An oil is a serving in that window, not a treatment for insomnia or a circadian disorder.
