Why golfers should buy THC-free

Per GOLF.com (checked October 2026, a 2019 story), the PGA Tour told players that CBD products can contain THC, which is prohibited, and that taking a mislabeled supplement is not a defense. The memo reportedly urged players to use only NSF Certified for Sport products. That is the pro standard, and we do not hold that certification. We say so plainly.

Most of you are not on the Tour. Some of you play in tested senior or amateur events, and some of you have a job with a screen. For all of those, pick a THC-free oil, keep the batch COA, and read any promise of a guaranteed pass as a red flag. Full-spectrum drops contain trace THC, so we point tested golfers to broad-spectrum.

A round-day routine

Keep it boring. Most adults start at 10 to 25 mg. On a 500mg bottle that is roughly one half to one and a half droppers, held under the tongue. Try your serving on a day off first, not on tournament morning. A new variable is a bad idea before a round.

Pick one time and stick to it, such as with breakfast or after you get home. Skip the idea of dosing between holes. Nothing here is a performance product, and we cannot tell you it will change your score. Talk to your doctor first if you take medication.

Carrying it in the bag: heat

A golf bag sits in a hot trunk and then in the sun on the back of a cart. Heat and light are the things to avoid for any hemp oil. Keep the bottle in the clubhouse locker, the cooler pocket, or the house, and cap it tight. We have no lab data on how a bottle holds up in a 100 degree trunk, so we will not pretend to.

The salve stick is the easier thing to carry, since it is a sealed twist-up with no dropper. It can soften in heat too, so give it the same shade. Check the product page for stock before planning around it.

Walking, riding, and the stick after 18

Walkers and riders ask different questions. If you walk 18, you will notice your hands, feet, and lower back by the back nine. The salve stick is for skin there after the round: arnica, hemp extract, and nothing on broken skin. We do not claim it fixes anything. It is a routine, and some people like having one.

Riders sit and swing, and the same stick works for the same spots. Topicals are not a meaningful bloodstream route, but that is not a test guarantee either. If your event screens, ask the organizers about topicals before you use one.

The 19th hole

We are not going to give you advice on alcohol. If you drink, that is your call and your doctor's. What we will say is that a CBD serving is not a substitute for anything and not a reason to change what you do at the bar.

If you plan to drive home, the plan is the plan. Do not stack a new serving on top of a long day without knowing how you respond. Start low, go slow, and keep the evening simple.

FAQ

What is the best CBD for golfers?

For anyone who plays tested events, our THC-free broad-spectrum drops, starting with the 500mg bottle at $35. They come with a batch COA you can match to the bottle. We make no performance claims and cannot guarantee a result on any test.

Does the PGA Tour allow CBD?

Per GOLF.com (checked October 2026), a PGA Tour memo from 2019 said THC is prohibited and that CBD products may contain it. The memo recommended NSF Certified for Sport products. We are not NSF certified for sport, so tour pros should follow the Tour's own guidance.

Is full-spectrum CBD safe for tested golf events?

We would not use it. Full-spectrum drops contain trace THC under 0.3%, and daily use can add up. If your event or job screens, choose a THC-free broad-spectrum oil and keep the batch COA.

Can I leave CBD oil in my golf bag?

Better not. Heat and sun are hard on any hemp oil, and a trunk or cart bag gets hot. Keep it in the house or a shaded locker, and cap it tight. We have not tested our bottles in extreme heat.

When should I take it on a round day?

Pick one time, such as with breakfast, and try it on a day off first. Most adults start at 10 to 25 mg. Skip taking it mid-round, and talk to your doctor if you take medication.

Is the salve stick in stock?

It reads sold out as we write this, so check the product page. It is a 750mg arnica-infused stick for skin only, never on broken skin, and it is total-spectrum with trace THC.
