Pick by use case

Pick 1,500mg CBD Oil if…
  • You are settled on a daily serving of roughly 15 to 25 mg
  • You want a bottle you can measure easily with the dropper
  • You want the lowest price up front, or the full-spectrum option at $65
  • You are not sure yet and want to try a strength before committing
Pick 3,000mg CBD Oil if…
  • Your serving is 50 mg or more, which is half a dropper of this bottle
  • You already know a 1,500mg bottle runs out too fast for you
  • You want a lower price per mg without a very large bottle outlay
  • You do not mind measuring partial droppers
Pick 6,000mg CBD Oil if…
  • More than one person in your house takes the same oil
  • Your serving is large and you want the lowest price per mg we offer
  • You are comfortable measuring small amounts with a syringe or by drops
  • You will finish it well before the best-by date

Same bottle, different concentration

Every botanCBD oil comes in a 30 mL bottle. What changes is how much hemp extract is in it. At 1,500mg a full dropper holds about 50 mg of CBD. At 3,000mg it holds about 100 mg, and at 6,000mg about 200 mg. A bigger number on the label is a more concentrated oil, not a bigger serving.

That is the thing most strength guides skip. Your serving is set by how many milligrams you choose to take, not by the bottle. If you take 25 mg, you take half a dropper from the 1,500mg bottle or an eighth of a dropper from the 6,000mg bottle. Same 25 mg either way. Consequence's shop guide, checked October 2026, makes the same point from the other side: it says to start with a lower potency and work up, and it labels its 2,000mg and 3,000mg tinctures as ones to dilute because they are so concentrated (https://shop.consequence.net/blogs/news/difference-between-extra-maximum-strength-cbd).

The math on price and how long a bottle lasts

Our THC-free broad-spectrum oil is $70 at 1,500mg, $110 at 3,000mg and $165 at 6,000mg. That works out to about $0.047, $0.037 and $0.0275 per mg. Our full-spectrum 1,500mg is $65, about $0.043 per mg. Healthline's best CBD oil list, checked October 2026, shows other brands in a similar range: it lists Cornbread Hemp's 1,500mg full-spectrum oil at $0.05 to $0.07 per mg and cbdMD's broad-spectrum oil, in 1,500mg to 7,500mg bottles, at $0.02 to $0.05 per mg (https://www.healthline.com/cbd/best-cbd-oil). We are not the cheapest per mg on that list, and we would rather say so.

Now the part that matters more: how long it lasts. At a steady 25 mg a day, a 1,500mg bottle lasts about 60 days, a 3,000mg bottle about 120 and a 6,000mg bottle about 240. At 50 mg a day, halve each of those. The 6,000mg bottle costs about $0.69 a day at 25 mg, against about $1.17 for the 1,500mg. Cheaper per day only helps if you finish the bottle, so check the best-by date on the box before you buy a bottle that will take eight months.

Stronger is not better per serving

Most adults who try CBD oil start at 10 to 25 mg and adjust slowly, and a 3,000mg or 6,000mg bottle does not change that. If you are new, a high-strength bottle makes your starting serving a tiny, hard-to-measure amount. An eighth of a dropper is a few drops, and it is easy to overshoot. If that is you, start with 1,500mg, or our 500mg bottle at about 17 mg a dropper, and move up only after you know your serving.

A good sign you are ready for a bigger bottle is that you keep running out. A bad reason is that a bigger number sounds more serious. Start low, go slow, and talk to your doctor first, especially if you take any medication. Our 500mg vs 1,500mg comparison covers the step below this one.

Why only the THC-free line goes past 1,500mg

Our full-spectrum oil has trace THC, under 0.3%, and it comes in 500mg and 1,500mg. Our THC-free broad-spectrum oil, where the THC is removed and the lab report reads ND or below the limit of quantitation, comes in 500mg, 1,500mg, 3,000mg and 6,000mg. That is simply what we make, not a claim that one is better. If you want trace THC in the mix, 1,500mg is as strong as our full-spectrum oil gets. Read full spectrum vs broad spectrum if you are choosing between them.

Whatever strength you buy, ask for the batch lab report. Every batch is third-party tested, and the report is at /coas. Strength claims are only as good as the lab behind them, and a bottle that says 6,000mg should have a report that agrees.

FAQ

Which CBD oil strength should I buy: 1,500mg, 3,000mg or 6,000mg?

Buy 1,500mg if your serving is 15 to 25 mg a day. Buy 3,000mg if your serving is around 50 mg or more. Buy 6,000mg if several people share the bottle or you take large servings and want the lowest price per mg. All are 30 mL, so the only difference is concentration.

Is 6,000mg CBD oil six times stronger per drop than 1,500mg?

Four times, not six. A 6,000mg bottle holds four times the CBD of a 1,500mg bottle in the same 30 mL, so a full dropper is about 200 mg against about 50 mg. A serving is still whatever number of milligrams you decide to take.

How long does a 6,000mg bottle of CBD oil last?

At 25 mg a day, about 240 days. At 50 mg a day, about 120 days. That is simple division on a 30 mL bottle with 200 mg per full dropper, so check the best-by date to make sure you will use it in time.

Is 3,000mg CBD oil better value than 1,500mg?

Per mg, yes. Our THC-free 3,000mg is $110, about $0.037 per mg, against $70 or about $0.047 per mg for 1,500mg. It is better value only if you will use it all, and it is harder to measure small servings from it.

Will a stronger CBD oil work better?

Not by itself. Concentration changes how many drops you measure, not the milligrams you take. We make no claims about what CBD will do for you. Pick a serving with your doctor, start low, and change it slowly.

Is 6,000mg too strong for a beginner?

It is a poor fit, because a beginner's serving of 10 to 25 mg is only a few drops, which is hard to measure. Most people are better off starting with 500mg or 1,500mg and moving up once they know their serving.

Does botanCBD sell full-spectrum oil in 3,000mg or 6,000mg?

No. Our full-spectrum oil comes in 500mg ($30) and 1,500mg ($65). The 3,000mg ($110) and 6,000mg ($165) bottles are only in the THC-free broad-spectrum line, which also has 500mg ($35) and 1,500mg ($70).
