6 Best CBD Oils for Cats of 2026

Updated How we edit these guides
Top three of 6: 1. botanCBD, rated 4.8 out of 5; 2. HolistaPet, rated 4.5 out of 5; 3. cbdMD, rated 4.4 out of 5.

How we ranked these

We looked only at oils sold for cats or for dogs and cats, in dropper form. Chews, topicals and human products are out. A human oil can carry THC and strong flavors, and cats are small, so a pet label matters.

We scored each oil on the four criteria below. The score is our editorial judgment, not a customer rating.

We tried to check seven brands and kept the ones whose own store page we could read. Brands that blocked us or that we could not match to a cat-labeled oil were dropped, which is why this list has six entries and not seven.

Every price, strength and ingredient for the other brands comes from that brand's own store page, fetched in October 2026, with the address in each entry. Prices change, so check the page before you buy. We have not tested these oils on cats and we do not know what is in a bottle beyond what the brand prints.

Scores on this page are our own editorial ratings of other brands, judged on the criteria below. We don't rate our own products — where botanCBD appears you'll see its verified-buyer rating if it has one, and no editorial score in the ranking either way. Early customer reviews shown elsewhere on this page are labeled as such.

Criteria
  • ✓THC status: zero or non-detectable THC is the safe default for a small animal
  • ✓Pet-specific labeling and a flavor a cat will plausibly accept
  • ✓Strength that is easy to measure in small amounts, stated in mg per bottle
  • ✓Price and transparent third-party testing

Furry Friends 500mg CBD Oil for Cats & Dogs — ranked #1 by botanCBD
THC-free, vet-formulated, and the lowest price on this list

Furry Friends is a 500mg broad-spectrum oil at 16.7 mg/mL with 0.0% THC, made for dogs and cats and formulated by a veterinarian. It uses an organic coconut-derived MCT carrier and an AAFCO-approved bacon flavor, and every batch is third-party tested. At $25 it is the least expensive oil here. The honest trade-off is the flavor. Bacon works for many cats, but a picky cat may turn it down, and unflavored oils below may suit that cat better. The strength is higher than some cat-only oils, so measure by the mL and start small. Ask your veterinarian for a serving size.

HolistaPet

Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil for Cats

★★★★½4.5 / 5our editorial score
The widest range of strengths, from a small starter bottle up

HolistaPet's own store page (holistapet.com/products/broad-spectrum-cbd-oil-for-cats, checked October 2026) lists this broad-spectrum cat oil in 150mg at $29.95, 300mg at $39.95, 600mg at $59.95, 1200mg at $84.95 and 3000mg at $124.95, in Original, Chicken or Salmon. The 150mg bottle is a sensible size for a single small cat. The page does not state a THC figure that we could quote, so ask for the lab report. The top strengths are made for much larger animals and are overkill for most cats.

Broad Spectrum CBD Cat Oil Tincture

★★★★★4.4 / 5our editorial score
A catnip-flavored oil from a large national brand

cbdMD's own page (cbdmd.com/products/cbd-oil-tinctures-for-cats, checked October 2026) lists a 300mg broad-spectrum cat tincture in a catnip flavor for $29.99, and describes it as THC free and third-party tested. The page directs one full dropper, 1 mL, and says to hold a consistent amount for 30 days before adjusting. That is a high starting amount for a small cat, so check it with your veterinarian first. Catnip flavor can be a draw for some cats and an annoyance for others.

CBD Oil Cat Tincture 250mg

★★★★★4.3 / 5our editorial score
Chicken-flavored, with half-dropper servings spelled out

CBDfx's own page (cbdfx.com/products/cbd-cat-tincture, checked October 2026) lists a 250mg broad-spectrum cat tincture for $29.99. The ingredients are CBD-rich hemp oil, MCT oil and natural chicken flavor, and the label says organically grown hemp. The page suggests half a dropper in the morning and half at night and says to consult your veterinarian. The page leans on wellness language we would not repeat, and it lists no THC figure, so ask for the lab report.

Pet Releaf

USDA Organic Feline Stress Releaf CBD Oil 180mg

★★★★★4.2 / 5our editorial score
Made just for cats, with a weight-based serving chart

Pet Releaf's own page (petreleaf.com, the Feline Stress Releaf 180mg product page, checked October 2026) lists a 180mg USDA Organic full-spectrum oil for cats at $30.99, blended with catnip and ashwagandha. The page includes a serving chart by weight, from 0.25 mL a day for a 3 to 5 lb cat to 1.5 mL for a cat over 15 lb. Full-spectrum means trace THC, so this is not the pick if you want zero. It costs the most per bottle of the five competitors, but the chart makes measuring easy.

Well CBD Oil for Cats

★★★★★4.1 / 5our editorial score
A two-ingredient organic oil, with a strength we could not pin down

Honest Paws' own page (honestpaws.com/products/cbd-oil-for-cats, checked October 2026) lists an organic full-spectrum hemp oil in organic MCT oil for $24.95, with a 1 mL dropper as the daily amount. The facts panel lists 6 mg of hemp oil containing 4 mg of CBD per serving, while the product image is labeled 125mg. We could not reconcile the two, so we will not quote a bottle strength. Ask the brand before you compare it with the others. The simple ingredient list is the appeal.

The bottom line

Pick a cat-labeled oil with zero or non-detectable THC, read the lab report, and measure by the mL rather than by the dropper. Our Furry Friends 500mg is the best fit for most households at $25 with 0.0% THC, as long as your cat accepts bacon. If it does not, HolistaPet's unflavored Original or Pet Releaf's catnip blend are the next places we would look. Whatever you choose, start with a small amount, change one thing at a time, and run it past your veterinarian first.

Where Furry Friends fits

If you want a THC-free oil made for cats and dogs, with a vet-formulated recipe and a batch lab report, start with Furry Friends 500mg. It is $25, 0.0% THC and bacon flavored. If your cat refuses bacon, tell us and we will be honest about what else to try. For the full picture, read our guide to CBD for cats.

FAQ

Is THC safe for cats?

We would not give a cat any THC. Cats are small, and we have no reason to take the risk. Choose an oil labeled broad-spectrum or THC-free for pets, and ask for the lab report. botanCBD's Furry Friends oil is 0.0% THC.

How do I give my cat CBD oil?

Measure the oil by the mL, not by the dropper, and put it on a small amount of food or on the lips so your cat licks it off. Start with less than the label suggests, keep the amount steady for a couple of weeks and ask your veterinarian for a serving size for your cat's weight.

When should I stop giving my cat CBD oil?

Stop and call your veterinarian if your cat vomits, stops eating, seems unusually sleepy or unsteady, or just acts off. Stop before any surgery or new medicine until your veterinarian says otherwise. Cats clear some compounds slowly, so go slow.

Should I ask my veterinarian before giving my cat CBD?

Yes. We are not veterinarians, and the research on CBD in cats is early. Your veterinarian knows your cat's age, weight and medicines, and can tell you whether to try it at all and how much. Bring the product label and the lab report.

Can kittens have CBD oil?

No. We do not make a kitten serving and we do not recommend CBD for kittens. Their bodies are still developing and nobody has good data. If you are thinking about it, talk to your veterinarian and wait.
