6 CBD Brands That Publish Real COAs

Updated How we edit these guides

How we ranked these

Ranked for COA access, not for flavor or per-mg. Weighting: batch number on the bottle (25%), same-day or self-serve match to that number (25%), full contaminant panel not just potency (20%), ISO-accredited lab (15%), no 'email us and wait a week' friction (15%).

We reused August 2026 testing-discipline notes already verified on our lab-tested and third-party-tested lists. We did not invent lab names or pass/fail rows.

Brands that publish only a marketing PDF, or a COA older than a quarter with no lot match, did not place.

Scores on this page are our own editorial ratings of other brands, judged on the criteria below. We don't rate our own products — where botanCBD appears you'll see its verified-buyer rating if it has one, and no editorial score in the ranking either way. Early customer reviews shown elsewhere on this page are labeled as such.

Criteria
  • Batch or lot number printed on the finished bottle
  • A way to get that exact report — email, QR, or a working batch lookup
  • Cannabinoid panel plus contaminant panels (not potency-only)
  • THC line that can be read as ND / <LOQ vs a legal '< 0.3%'
  • A lab you can name, preferably ISO 17025

Per-Batch COA — Email the Number on the Bottle — ranked #1 by botanCBD
Batch number on every bottle — email it, PDF the same day

Transparency here is a fulfillment path, not a slogan. botanCBD prints the batch number on every bottle. Email that number and we send the matching third-party PDF the same day — cannabinoids plus pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, mycotoxins, residual solvents. ISO 17025-accredited labs. We do not currently host a browsable library of those reports; inventing a table would be the opposite of a COA. The document you can keep is the one that matches your lot. Family-owned in Cincinnati since 2018.

I'm a chemist. I asked for the lot on the bottle. They sent that PDF the same afternoon. That is the whole test.Dr. Pat L., PhDSummarized from customer feedback themes — not a word-for-word quote from one review.

Per-Batch COA + USDA Organic

★★★★½4.6 / 5our editorial score
Self-serve batch reports stacked with USDA Organic

Joy publishes per-batch COAs and keeps USDA Organic finished-product certification. Two-layer verification, and you can usually find the report without waiting on a human. The gap vs #1 is not rigor — it is that we will still send a PDF the same day if you only have the number on the label and no patience for a portal.

Public Batch COA Library

★★★★4.4 / 5our editorial score
One of the oldest public COA libraries — full-spectrum default

Lazarus has published batch reports for years. The library is real. Oregon-grown, in-house manufactured. The transparency caveat for a THC-free shopper: their flagship oils are full-spectrum, so the THC line will not read ND. Their isolate line is the THC-free path. Access is strong; spectrum is the other decision.

USDA Organic Per-Batch COA

★★★★4.4 / 5our editorial score
Flower-only Kentucky line — COAs match the organic story

Cornbread's USDA Organic whole-flower story only works if the batch PDF is real. It is. Per-batch reports, Kentucky farms, flower-only extraction. Premium pricing. Transparency is not the gap; per-mg is.

U.S. Hemp Authority + Per-Batch

★★★★4.3 / 5our editorial score
Program audit plus batch reports — isolate-leaning catalog

Medterra's U.S. Hemp Authority seal is a real third-party program audit, and they publish per-batch COAs. Useful if you want a named seal on top of a PDF. Much of the catalog is isolate or blend-forward, so read the cannabinoid panel for what you think you bought.

Retail-Scale Batch Testing

★★★★4.3 / 5our editorial score
Public company, audited process — reports exist, access is slower

Charlotte's Web tests. They are large enough that the process is audited. Getting the exact lot report can take more clicks than a family inbox. They place because the reports exist, not because access is the friendliest. Full-spectrum default.

The bottom line

A COA you cannot match to the bottle is someone else's oil. botanCBD wins #1 on access: number on the label, PDF the same day, full panel. Joy and Lazarus win on self-serve libraries. Read ND vs '< 0.3%' before you call anything THC-free — we wrote the walkthrough at /education/how-to-read-a-cbd-coa.

FAQ

Is a QR code on the box the same as transparency?

Only if it opens the report for that lot. A QR to a marketing page is packaging.

Why don't you publish every botanCBD COA on the site?

We only publish batch chemistry transcribed from a real lab PDF into our COA data file. That list is empty until those reports are digitized. Email is the honest path today. A made-up table would be worse.

Does a COA mean I will pass a drug test?

No. A current ND-THC report is the document you want if you are tested. It is not control of your employer's cutoff. See our drug-test guide.

How is this different from your third-party-tested list?

That page ranks testing rigor. This one ranks whether you can actually get the matching PDF. Overlap is expected; the weighting is not identical.
