- 2Put it on food or a treat
Easiest method, and the bacon flavor helps. Straight in the mouth is fastest (15–30 minutes) if your pet cooperates; mixed into peanut butter or wet food is slower (about 45–60 minutes) but reliable.
- 3Watch for two or three days
Give the same amount at the same time and see what changes. If you don't see what you're hoping for, increase slowly.
- 4Talk to your vet first
Especially if your pet takes prescription medication — CBD can interact with how the liver metabolizes some drugs.

How much do I give my dog?
A reasonable starting range is 0.1–0.25 mg of CBD per pound of body weight, once a day, beginning at the low end. The weight table higher up this page does the arithmetic — about 2.5 mg for a 25 lb dog at the low end, about 5 mg at 50 lb, about 10 mg at 100 lb. Your veterinarian's recommendation beats any chart on the internet, including ours.
Is there any THC in it?
None. This is a broad-spectrum extract at 0.0% THC. THC is toxic to dogs and cats, which is the whole reason we make a separate pet bottle instead of pointing pet owners at the human oil.
Can I give my pet the human drops instead?
Please don't reach for the full-spectrum human oil — it contains trace THC. If you want to understand the difference: this bottle is THC-free, veterinarian-formulated, and flavored with an AAFCO-approved pet-food-grade bacon flavoring rather than a human flavor oil. Ask your vet before starting your pet on anything new, especially if they take prescription medication.
Is it alright for cats?
The weight table starts at a 10 lb cat or small dog, and the bottle is THC-free and veterinarian-formulated. Cats are small and metabolize differently from dogs, so start at the low end of the range and talk to your veterinarian first — that conversation matters more for a cat than for a 70 lb retriever.
My dog is picky. How do I actually get it into him?
The bacon flavor is AAFCO-approved and does most of the work. Straight in the mouth is fastest — about 15 to 30 minutes — if your dog cooperates. Mixed into peanut butter or wet food is slower, roughly 45 to 60 minutes, but far more reliable with a suspicious dog.
There's only one strength — is that enough for a big dog?
