5 Best Organic CBD Brands (USDA-Certified and Organic-Grown)

Updated How we edit these guides
Top three of 5: 1. botanCBD, rated 4.6 out of 5; 2. Joy Organics, rated 4.5 out of 5; 3. Cornbread Hemp, rated 4.4 out of 5.

How we ranked these

"Organic" on a CBD label can mean two different things. USDA Certified Organic means a certifier has audited the farm and the handling under the USDA organic rules. "Organically cultivated" is a description of how the hemp was grown, with no seal behind it. We kept both on this list and labeled each one, because collapsing them would mislead you.

We only ranked brands whose own store page says USDA organic on the product or the homepage. Brands that talk about organic ingredients without a seal on the product page, such as Charlotte's Web, were left off, since we could not confirm the seal there in October 2026.

Every competitor price, strength and product name comes from that brand's own store, fetched in October 2026, with the address in each entry. Prices change often and sales run constantly, so check the live page before you buy. Where we compare cost, the per-mg figure is our own arithmetic on the listed price.

Ranking weighs how clearly the organic claim is documented, the strength you get per dollar, whether lab reports are easy to reach, and how simple the ingredient list is. Our editorial scores are our judgment, not customer ratings. We are the seller of #1, so weigh that.

Scores on this page are our own editorial ratings of other brands, judged on the criteria below. We don't rate our own products — where botanCBD appears you'll see its verified-buyer rating if it has one, and no editorial score in the ranking either way. Early customer reviews shown elsewhere on this page are labeled as such.

Criteria
  • ✓A clear organic claim: USDA seal, or an honest description of organic cultivation
  • ✓Strength and price stated plainly, so you can work out cost per mg
  • ✓Third-party lab reports available for the batch
  • ✓Short, readable ingredient list

Organic CBD Oil Oral Drops, Full Spectrum — ranked #1 by botanCBD
Organically cultivated Kentucky and Ohio hemp, no USDA seal, and we say so

botanCBD's full-spectrum drops are hemp extract in organic coconut-derived MCT oil, with real essential oil for flavor in the Fresh Mint and Peruvian Lime versions. The hemp is organically cultivated on the brand's Kentucky and Ohio farms and every batch is third-party tested, with the batch report available on request and at /coas. We do not hold or claim the USDA Certified Organic seal, so this is the organic-grown kind of entry, not the certified kind. The 500mg bottle is $30 and the 1,500mg bottle is $65 (about $0.043 per mg), with trace THC under 0.3%. Best for: someone who wants a short ingredient list, farm-level sourcing and a batch lab report, and who does not need the seal.

Organic THC-Free CBD Tincture (1350mg Summer Lemon) — Joy Organics product photo

Organic THC-Free CBD Tincture (1350mg Summer Lemon)

★★★★½4.5 / 5our editorial score
USDA Certified Organic, THC-free, and the lowest cost per mg on this list

Joy Organics describes this tincture as USDA Certified Organic. The 1350mg bottle, 45mg per serving, was listed at $48.96 on joyorganics.com/products/organic-thc-free-cbd-tincture-1350mg-summer-lemon-1, checked October 2026. That works out to about $0.036 per mg, the lowest of the five. It is THC-free, which suits anyone who is drug-tested at work. The trade-off is a lemon flavor you may not want, and the store also sells the same line in other sizes and in full-spectrum versions. Best for: buyers who want the seal and no THC at the lowest price per mg.

Whole Flower USDA Organic CBD Oil

★★★★★4.4 / 5our editorial score
A Kentucky brand with the seal in the product name, and a flavor-free formula

Cornbread Hemp sells this oil as Whole Flower USDA Organic CBD Oil, and the product page says it has no flavoring and no preservatives, with up to 2mg of THC per serving. At cornbreadhemp.com/products/whole-flower-organic-cbd-oil, checked October 2026, the 750mg bottle was $49.99 and the 1500mg bottle was $74.99, about $0.050 per mg at the larger size. That is a little pricier per mg than botanCBD's 1,500mg bottle at $65, and it contains more THC than a THC-free tincture, so read the label if you are drug-tested. Best for: Kentucky-grown, seal-carrying, unflavored full-spectrum oil.

Extra Organic Full Spectrum CBD Oil, Unflavored

★★★★★4.3 / 5our editorial score
Certified organic Colorado hemp, in the strongest bottle on this list

Aspen Green calls this a Certified USDA Organic full-spectrum oil and lists 120 servings per bottle at a 0.25mL serving. The page title gives 3000mg, and at aspengreen.com/products/extra-organic-full-spectrum-cbd-oil-unflavored it was $144.99, checked October 2026, about $0.048 per mg by our math. It is the highest sticker price here, with 177 customer reviews shown on the page. It also carries the highest strength, so it is a poor fit for a first bottle. The store sells lower-strength versions too. Best for: experienced users who want a certified, high-strength full-spectrum oil.

The 1000mg bottle works out to $0.070 per mg, the highest cost per mg here, and the page's own serving note starts at 10mg. Best for: buyers who want a small-batch brand with a seal and a gentle starting strength, and do not mind paying more per mg.

The bottom line

If the USDA seal is non-negotiable, Joy Organics gives you certified organic and THC-free at the lowest cost per mg we found, and Cornbread Hemp and Aspen Green are the full-spectrum certified options. If you want organically cultivated Kentucky and Ohio hemp with a short ingredient list, a batch lab report and a family you can call, that is us. We would rather you pick the right kind of organic than the right brand name. Whichever you choose, open the lab report for your batch and start with a low serving.

Where our drops fit

If you want organically cultivated hemp and a trace of THC, start with our full-spectrum CBD oil drops in 500mg or 1,500mg bottles. If you want no THC, our THC-free broad-spectrum drops run from 500mg up to 6,000mg. Neither carries a USDA seal, and both come with a batch lab report.

FAQ

Is botanCBD USDA Certified Organic?

No. botanCBD's hemp is organically cultivated on its Kentucky and Ohio farms, but we do not hold or claim the USDA Certified Organic seal. If the seal is a requirement for you, the other four brands on this list say they carry it on their own stores.

What does USDA Certified Organic mean for CBD?

It means a USDA-accredited certifier has audited how the hemp is grown and handled under the USDA organic rules. A product that is only described as organically grown has no seal behind it. Look for the seal on the product page, not just the word organic in the marketing.

Is USDA organic CBD more expensive?

Not always. In October 2026, Joy Organics' certified 1350mg tincture at $48.96 was about $0.036 per mg, cheaper than botanCBD's 1,500mg bottle at $65 (about $0.043 per mg). Moon Mother's certified 1000mg bottle at $70 was about $0.070 per mg. Price depends on the brand and sales, so compare per mg on the live page.

Does organic CBD still need a lab report?

Yes. An organic seal is about farming practices, not about what is in your bottle. A third-party lab report for your batch shows the cannabinoid content and the THC line. Ask any brand for the batch report before you buy.

Is organic CBD full spectrum or THC-free?

Either. Organic is about how the hemp was grown. Joy Organics' tincture above is THC-free, while Cornbread Hemp, Aspen Green and Moon Mother's oils are full spectrum with trace THC. Check the spectrum line if you are drug-tested, and talk to your doctor before starting.
